Centre for Immunology & Infection (C2i) addresses significant public healthcare challenges through the establishment of a novel technology platform for biomarker discovery and the development of new vaccine and therapeutic strategies. The Centre enhances Hong Kong’s knowledge-based economy and provides state-of-the-art training for the local population.

First participants vaccinated in HKU trial to test COVID-19 vaccines in healthy adolescents

Investigators of the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and the School of Public Health, LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, are now launching the COVID-19 Vaccination in Adolescents (COVA) study. 300 healthy adolescents aged 11 years or above and their parents will be offered one of the COVID-19 vaccines available in Hong Kong of their choosing.
