Centre for Oncology
and Immunology
Hidden risk factors for cancer in our day-to-day lives have an increasing global impact
The burden of cancer incidence and mortality is rapidly growing worldwide
But cancer cells have developed ways to resist current treatments
Cancer biomarkers are the future of precision-oncology
Our goal at COI is to use biotechnology and genomics to discover new biomarkers
that can be targeted for specific cancers
for precision medicine
COI aims to develop targeted therapeutics in immuno-oncology for cancers that are prevalent in Asia
and to establish Hong Kong as a leader in innovative anti-cancer R&D
